What a great little diner. With the long, slim, L-shape design for seating, it was a wonderful dining experience. They have the polished tin walls ceilings. Even the jukebox at the table.
I love the food at Mel’s but I have to say the one staff member today was completely rude. I walked in, and couldn’t remember if it’s seat yourself, or if I needed to wait. I figured a waitress would tell me. Well I saw the waitress of the one side and she looked right at me and didn’t even acknowledge me.. I stay standing at the front, not wanting to seat myself if I’m not supposed to.. I see that same waitress two more times and again, completely ignored. Best place to go!! Family friendly, great service, the waitresses are very polite, will make you laugh even if you've had a bad day. Love it!!! Don't ever change ladies, keep up the great job... You are all awesome! My family from Florida loved everything about Mel's Diner, the food, the great prices... But, specially the great service with a smile!
