Great experience and a great steak – I had heard some good things about Melrose Grill but only went for the first time this past Saturday. The place was packed and there was a 40 minute wait. There was also no place to sit even in the bar. So they let us go to a different bar across the street to wait and they called us when our table was ready. Very accomodating! Good value in a Neighborhood Steakhouse I feel like a snob, because when I found out we were going here for steak, I just wasn't expecting much, and when I saw the menu I was a little surprised at the prices, but the food and the steaks were actually pretty good. True, its not the Met, but for what it is, a small restaurant in Renton, it does an excellent job with the steaks, and now we prefer to come here than drop double on a downtown meal at Ruths Chris any day. Friendly neighborhood service does not hurt!
Anniversary Dinner was Fabulous We went to Melrose Grill for our 20th Anniversary and had a great time. The waiter was a hoot which added to a fun-filled evening. The food was top-notch and service excellent. Steak is their specialty, but they have excellent seafood and poultry options as well. It was also not loud which made it easy to converse. We want to go back soon.
Melrose Grill is Better than Daniel's My wife and I tried the Melrose Grill for the first time this summer on our Anniversary. We both had great steaks cooked to perfection. We did not have reservations, so we sat at the bar with martinis for sometime prior to eating. Our experience was wonderful and the service was great. The meal was a great deal for the money and we would recommend the steaks again. Try to get there early before the dinner hour to ensure less of a wait.
Melrose Grill is Outstanding Outstanding, the steak was cook exactly as i requested, medium well. The salad I ordered was very fresh and didn't appear to be sitting all day. I found the wait staff very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely go there again..
Worst Steak Ever – Well I went into the " Melrose Grill " for a nice steak dinner and ended paying $80 dollars for a lump of fat........it was the nastiest piece of meat I have ever seen. This coming from a butchers son-in-law. This nasty steak not only costed me $80 but they refused to replace it since I had already cut into it. I was digging myself a hole trying to find a single portion of actual meat on this thing. I will never go back to this place again......the worst customer service ever. Best Steak Place at Reasonable Price! – I've been a customer for the last five years spending birthday celebrations w/ my family. They are very consistent w/ their steak and always cooked to perfection. I've been to Jak's in West Seattle, Issaquah, and on 45th Ave area in Seattle. Melrose Grill is so much better, and their steaks have more flavor. Service is attentive and the price is just right.. They don't have appetizers and you will not leave this place hungry . Great Neighborhood Steakhouse If you are looking for a good steak, fun atmosphere, and great service, the Melrose Grill in Renton is a find. You don't have to hit Seattle or Bellevue for a quality piece of meet. They specialize in steaks, but every other dish that we have tried has been very tasty. They offer a nice collection of wines to accompany the menu and full service bar. Knowledgeable waitstaff and creative bartenders serve up great food and libations. I recommend this restaurant.
