We are the originators of Classic Southern Pizza, & our unique and flavorful crust is a true original. The idea back then was the same as it is now, to make the delicious, craveable slice of pizza on the planet. I like to come to mellow mushroom Coralville often. The waiters are always polite and quick. Regardless if your are getting a calzone or pizza I have yet to find a dish not amazing. We come from Cedar Rapids with it being a quick ride down for great food in awesome environment. See if you can find the local alien residents while your there also!
I found this place while traveling, great gluten free pizza! I wished I lived closer to this restaurant!!

As a life long Mellow Mushroom fan being from the South it has been my go to place wherever I live (Hilton Head, Charleston, SC, Atlanta and this one is spot on. By far the best pizza in town with tier 1 beer selection. It's famous for Bingo on Monday and Trivia Wednesday!

Thank you for the wonderful experience!!! The customer service is hands down one of the best. Our House Special came without the veggies and in return we received a free medium pizza without asking. We will be back unless you open a location in Des Moines??? Ps...pizza was delicious and great local beer selection!!!
I traveled to the area and ate out 3 times a day for 5 days this week and this restaurant was the best in town!!! The owner has a sense of community spirit and the place was hopping with some community event. I do like MM but compared to the others I ate at this one is by far my favorite! The owner picked a fabulous wine to go with my excellent pizza! I hope I get to go there again someday.

I just ate at The Mellow Mushroom in Coralville, Iowa. This has been the best restaurant experience I've ever had in my life. The owner walked me through how they make the pizza, one oven for gluten free exclusively, and how the cook would bring it---no cross contamination. He checked on me after. Amazing pizza and service. I will come back here often.

Bad food and even worse management! Have heard horror stories from the previous employees regarding the management. And as for the food, was not worth the price in my opinion. Was not impressed!
My husband and I are from CR and I am bit of a foodie, so was excited to see something a little bit different in the area. We went for lunch on a Saturday (today) and they were pretty packed, so we sat at the bar. The bartender got our drink order right away and even brought mine while my husband was deciding. Since it was our first time, we decided to split two small pizza's so we could try more than one flavor. This is one of the few restaurants where my 8 year old son who is severely allergic to soy and dairy can eat the same thing as the rest of us. I am so excited he has this option. Thank you!! We also loved the pizza and great service.
