We were a little late getting started, but Dr. McKenzie, and an intern training with her, spent a good deal of time with me both diagnosing and explaining what was happening to me, as well as next steps for further diagnosis and treatment. Dr. McKenzie was also instrumental in an earlier appointment (2023) in diagnosing a cervical spine problem requiring surgery.
Rude. Impolite. Shows up 45 min or even later for appointments with zero apology. Zero bedside manners or empathy. Mean. Horrific time management. Does not respond to messages left for her. Treats her staff horribly. Probably worst doctor I've ever seen. Doesn't listen. Raises her voice in anger at patients and staff for no justifiable reason.
She's understanding & willing to take time & answer your questions.
This is a very knowledgeable, caring doctor. I feel lucky to have been referred to her, as she is the first specialist to take a look at my problems and say, " We really must get you moving again; you can't just be spending all your time in bed." Shy was also very sympathetic towards me regarding some shabby treatment by other, prior doctors.
She maybe a good doctor but her office is overwhelmed and I felt rushed through my appointment. I feel like some of there staff and maybe the office as a whole are apathetic and rude. They are the only office within 200 miles. If you have something serious, if you have the ability DO NOT waste anytime, go to the city.
She's rude, no bedside manner. Won't go over your test results with you. Just condescending!
I am a physician myself. I travel 150 miles each way for my appointments and it is worth it.
KInd, caring, thorough, great bedside manner - all very good - informal, but professional. She exhausted all possible causes of my condition without causing me unnecessary alarm. I have sent several friends to her.
