The roast duck here is a 10/10. Get it.
Authentic dishes from China. Roasted duck always does it!
Kung Pao chicken was terrible- a humongous amount of peanuts with bits of chicken. Everything we ordered was disappointing: fried egg rolls, dumplings, friend rice. Dislike.
Faves: Sichuan dumpling, Kung Pao Chicken. Skip: Dan Dan Noodles (unless in mood for beef noodle soup-like noodles), coconut pudding, rice ball soup, roast duck
They cut the duck properly, and tableside to boot! This could be the best roast duck in LA now, with Duck House defunct.
Like Obika a couple doors away, Meizhou Dongpo is a foreign chain restaurant. That's great because the food tastes a lot like what I ate in Beijing at the same chain! Saves a traffic jam trek to SGV.
Not as expensive as it appears because most of the menu is served family-style. Bring friends and order extra rice (which cools spiciness) & you'll pay about the same per person as in the foodcourt.
If you love spicy food, this is the place for you!
