Excellant in every way until checkout. Only 4 staffed registers open at 4:30. Results - long lines and wait .
I ordered a birthday cake and wasn't satisfied with how it came out. The lady in the bakery said I should have specified how I wanted the name written. I told her if i would have known I needed to tell them to space out the words on the cake, I would have. She told me there was nothing she could do. I went to the service desk and asked for a manger, the lady at the desk was nice but had to call around because no one wanted to help me. 6 pm and there's 2 checkout lanes open. 6 people in one line and 9 in my line. Long line for self checkout. Come on! There's always a rush after work. Diet Coke 24 pack on sale - none on shelf.
If you have a service dog, don't forgot to plan time to stand in line at the service counter where you will need to provide your documentation, even if said dog is legally identified with vest and tags. We were there for a quick trip but planned to return later in the day before we were informed of this upon entering the store (for the numerous time with my daughter's appropriately identified dog). Wow not sure what is going on at this store but I am impressed. Was there today in the middle of a crowded Saturday. Lines moved fast well staffed for the busy day. Super nice staff . produce that had been pretty bad is now looking really good and fresh. Bakery items looked so fresh and yummy. Great job meijer.
What I love about this place? Angie V. The cashier. Her attitude is always pleasant. I huge smile comes on my face when I see she's here.
While shopping today at the Canal Winchester Meijer a little girl walked up and said I just wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas and give you a gift. My 3 yr old grandson was delighted. I was amazed as I sat I'm my car and watched the little girl her brother and their mother walk through the parking lot doing the same gesture to several others. There is humanity left in the world thank you. Merry Christmas to all
