Both retinas repaired by Dr Lee in last 4 years. He is professional and kind, honest about his ability to fix eye injuries and worth the wait in his office!! I trust him completely and have heard horror stories about experiences others have had with different surgeons in the area. Dr Lee is very careful about keeping pts. Inactive, face down and uses sclera buckles with gas bubbles in eye to assure retina will heal. Last PM a friend called me. He had repair by someone else in area about 3 months ago. He was sent back to work... read more
I had a retinal detachment Dr lee and his staff went above and beyond to get me into surgery and repair my detachment with the amount of time Dr lee provided to me assured me he was the right doctor although it does take a little more time in his office you get as much time as needed with Dr lee and his staff everyone was excellent at explaining the procedures and very knowledgeable when asked questions it is currently 3 months after my retinal detachment surgery and the only reason I have vision in my left eye is because of... read more
I agree with other patients that the front office staff are not friendly, welcoming or caring. Regarding the technical staff, they are top notch. Regarding wait times, I think we must consider that he works in patients that must me seen immediately or their vision could be compromised. I was one of those patients. He saw me on a Saturday for a retinal tear. I agree his bedside manner is not warm and cozy but I would definitely recommend him for his talent. My vision is stable because of him
Dr. Lee is a consummate medical professional. As such, he is in high demand, so his time with patients is very short. But, his medical assistants (5 stars) pick up this gap. They have excellent interpersonal skills, while demonstrating superb medical knowledge. The office clerical staff, on the other hand receive -0 stars for "friendliness and courteousness". They treat patients like an interruption and an inconvenience. Dr. Lee’s overall rating will increase if this last item improves.
I have been seeing Dr. Lee for a long time. He has been a very wonderful doctor and has restored my vision. I trust him with my life. He is a professional, who is focused. Yes, the wait is sometimes long. The nurses are fantastic. Especially Sheila. If you want warm and fuzzy, look elsewhere. Myself, I want the very best care and Dr Lee is it!
Dr Lee is a top-notch eye surgeon. I understand what others say about bedside manner. But with someone aiming lasers into my eyes, I want to be sure that he or she is one of the country's best at what he does, and that is Dr. Lee.
Dr. Lee is not patient oriented. Does not look directly at you when speaking. He appears to be a severe germaphobe. Wears a face mask during exams, having his office staff handling and touching the patient. When I asked about my eye condition he could not answer questions in a way that made sense to me. I have real concerns about Dr. Lee, will not be returning. I never mind waiting for good care but having an 11:50am apt and getting done at 3pm is no longer acceptable.
I would not recommend Dr Lee. I've been to more than 5 different retina doctors and regretfully my experience with Dr Lee was the worst. The experience was chaotic and adversarial and the staff were pulled away from their tasks multiple times. My visual acuity test was compromised because they dialated me beforehand and it was difficult to explain that it was a useless result. He did not listen at all and was condescending and rough with my exam. He rushed through the visit and I was very upset.
I understand how busy he is as a surgeon and as a doctor in his office, but his bedside manner is something to be desired, he shows lack of confidence that has to be reassured by his attending nurses. Also wouldn't hurt for him to try and talk to his patients and help them feel better rather than running out the door to avoid talking.. Im not even the one being seen I'm just there taking care of a patient
