I've been visiting the SCI unit for more than two months. Miracles happen but they are the norm, not the exception here. I saw one person who originally had to use the mouth to use the remote control (men! Of course they have to have the remote control!) to eating without assistance. My son been going here off and on for about 6 years. Not gonna get into details about his situation. NRH is one of the best rehabilitation hospital I been to. They push there clients and they make them work hard. I see improvement with my son every time.
My godson received treatment there after major surgery. The staff was great. I especially like the weekly family night. It was a time of family, friends, fun, and fellowship.
MedStar National Rehabilitation is awesome they are truly dedicated and skilled. My experiences with this facility has been phenomenal to say the least if I had to choose anywhere in the world to go for therapy this would be the only place I would be comfortable receiving it ... keep up the good work
It was awesome when I was admitted for inpatient I couldn't walk go to bathroom or do for myself at all by time I was discharged I was walking on a walker and able to climb steps and go down them while holding on. After outpatient therapy now I'm able to do for myself cook clean shower and most of all walk. NRH is the Best. I loved all my therapist and nurses and techs and my doctor Dr. Castillo.
We have excellent rehabilitation resources, physical, speech and occupational therapy. The therapist are excellent. Adding years to life, number one place to be.
