Medlars has been a San Antonio tradition for over 40 years. The ONLY precious metal dealer recommended by the United States Mint, we are committed to fair and honest service. Our jewelry repair and restoration facility is clean and fully visible to our customers. Each work station is video recorded 24/7. Our equipment is state of the art allowing us to do what other jewelers can't. Our custom design is a virtual process allowing our customers to see images of their design 3 dimensionally before it's actually made.

I was disappointed with the customer service. This was my 3rd time bringing mine and my husbands rings to have them rhodium plated. When they gave me the price I thought it was high and I stated I didn't pay that much before. I was shown a price list with the current price as if that was always the price. I inquired at customer service and was curtly told rhodium is expensive and prices went up..I said your charging 20-30 dollars more that most jewelers in your area...why? She stated she didn't know what other jewelers did. ... read more

Chapman personally looked into this and learned that historically, for some reason, we have been doing the rhodium plating of your two rings for the price of one. We appreciate that the same pricing would have been your expectation again. We should have explained this to you in a professional manner. We worked with Chapman to design a vintage style engagement ring from my mother's wedding bands. The ring is absolutely beautiful! I've received so many compliments. I recommend Medlars for anyone looking for an excellent jewelers.

Medlars is the best jewelry store we have found in San Antonio. My fiancé and I had a vintage ring that we wanted to update for my engagement ring. Because of the age and the original stones, literally every other store told us they wouldn't work on it and tried to sell us something I didn't want.
