Stay away!! Worst hospital in DFW area. Go to Baylor Plano or Methodist! ICU is a joke! This entire place is a joke they are only interested in "protocol" and profit. Stay away worst 18 days of my life!!!!! I'd like to know who to address my letter to. I will not be calling any Patient Advocacy Department at 972-566-6710.

I brought my mother to the ER because she had a high fever (103) and severe cough with green mucus. Obviously infection. After seeing the doctor initially, we were left in the room for FOUR HOURS with no check backs at all. I even went to the nurse's station to ask what was going on, and the only response was "we will check." I realize that this is just a job and a paycheck to them, but I did 2 years of nursing school and there was absolutely no care or compassion in these hospital workers. LOVE my doctors at Medical City Dallas. Our whole life is there. OB/GYN, pediatrician, allergist, back doctor, general doctor, dentist, etc. I've had both of my kids there. Reason I'm rating 1 right now is for almost four years, Medical City Dallas still can't seem to spell my name correctly. When I was admitted in Feb/Mar of 2014, the Admissions woman spelled my name incorrectly (Stefanie). She told me she spelled it the way she did because that's how it "appeared" on my DL (it's not, it's Stephanie). I called it out even s... read more

I was so pleased with my recent stay that I had to let someone in administration to know how their staff are doing. I was registered in on 12/4 and released on 12/12. I had two surgeries while I was there. Dr. Gogel removed cancer from my foot on 12/4, and Dr. Duffy performed the removal of a graft and suturing on top of the hole on 12/8. The pre-op and post op staff were great each time. I stayed in room 822 for the duration of my stay. Dave, the charge nurse of the floor, was so nice. If you are having a high risk pregnancy go somewhere else. The NICU is abysmal and is quite frankly scary at how it is not ran. They tout they are patient centric and have avenues for concerns but when those avenues are used they are ignored. We have caught several of the nurses lying on the medical records to the detriment of our child. The lying on the records is around the condition that is keeping him here.
