Dr. Medford is a true professional. He gives you all the information and your choices on cataract surgery, and will take the time to ensure you fully understand the procedure. The procedure itself was painless, and my new eyesight is a revelation. In addition, the office staff as well as the staff at the Ridgedale Surgical Center are very courteous, efficient and helpful. My wife and I both have had cataract surgery, and give Dr. Medford our highest recommendation.
I was hesitant to have cataract surgery because I didn't know just how much my cataracts actually effected my vision, however after the first eye was done it was as if I was seeing everything in HD TV. I would recommend having this done sooner than later and enjoy vision without contacts or glasses. I chose the lenses set for distance and can see most everything except small print without reading glasses. Dr. Medford has done over 10,000 surgeries so I placed my trust in those stats.

I recently had my second cataract surgery by Dr. Medford, and my vision has dramatically improved. After a detailed explanation of the options, I chose the Symfony lens because of its extended range. Not only is my far vision excellent, but I need only mild correction, or none at all in some situations, for reading. Dr. Medford answered all my questions. I had an amazing experience with Dr. Medford performing cataract surgery these past two months. It was obviously necessary surgery and the doctor and staff explained the procedure many times to make certain I understood exactly what the procedure would involve. During the entire procedure everyone was so calming and explained exactly what they would be doing and how it would feel. As they promised, it was pain free and very quick! My vision is what I remember as a 10 year old!

Dr. Medford did one cataract surgery in December 2017 and one in January 2018; the results were great. I see wonderfully without glasses, much better than before. As a 20 year monovision contact lense wearer, I was especially apprehensive about having cataract surgery. Dr. Medford assured, not promised, he could replicate my vision as close as possible. By treating the astigmatism in my reading eye with the Toric momofical lense and both eyes using laser technology, he more than fulfilled both our expectations. I have crystal clear vision in both eyes...no glasses for me! I highly recommend Dr. Medford and staff for their caring expertise in this process.
