I went in for a medically necessary EKG and had an awful experience. I am immunocompromised and communicated this clearly. The medical assistant, Ivan, refused to wear my sealed, individually wrapped, 3M Aura N95 mask, stating he was “comfortable” in a surgical mask. When I explained that a surgical mask would not adequately protect me, he repeated that he was comfortable and did not change it.
