Have had numerous visits and few procedures done by the Doctor and his AP never had a problem with any of the staff. Schedule an appointment in season is difficult with any doctor in Naples that’s worth their salt. Schedule out in advance best thing to consider doing or be prepared to have long wait to be seen. Doctors off ice staff is courteous waiting time is not long in office visit to see the APP I never have seen the doctor himself n the office always the AP who is very good. AP Cooper.
I only saw Dr. meckstroth 3 seconds before the procedure. Apparently PA's are the typical communication. When scheduling the follow up I SPECIFICALLY stated to Julie I wanted to see the DR. not a PA. She stated she would check and get back to me... That never happened. The girl upon check-in is just rude! Also, not much clarity in what occurred during the procedure. It wasn't until I got home and read the report that I knew multiple biopsies were collected; the doctor never mentioned this.
Suffered IBS-D under multiple practitioners for ~1year without results. Dr Meckstroth identified the problem in first visit and has resolved the condition most satisfactorily. His team is professional, caring, and responsive. Highly pleased!
I had high hopes for Dr. Meckstroth based on the reviews I read. Unfortunately, my experience with him was the worst experience with a doctor I have ever had. It seemed that he had decided what my cause of issues were based on one test before even letting me explain my symptoms. After TELLING me what I feeling he proceeded to pick me apart personally. This is a very closed minded and discriminatory doctor, do right by yourself and do not waste your time or self respect.
When my wife and I relocated full time in the Fall of 2019 I was in need of establishing care with a gastroenterologist. Dr. Meckstroth was recommended to me be my former oncologist. I have found with my contacts that his care is excellent. He is effectively treated my autoimmune disorder and his doctor/patient communication is excellent. His nurse Carol has been great. She is very responsive and attentive to my needs. Her communication. In hindsight, I could not have made a better choice of a doctor and nurse!
Horrible and horrible experience with office staff. I had a routine colonoscopy. During the visit I told the Dr. I had stomach issues and getting my gallbladder removed. He billed my insurance as though I was seeing him for stomach issues. His office refused to recode the visit and sent me to collections. The nurse said "you can take us to court to resolve this issue". Horrible experience, stay far away from Gastroenterology Specialists and this quack PA.
