Worst Customer Service - Even to Continuing Customers – I had been going to Mecca for over three years, and although the customer service was never that exceptional, my esthetician was great. I know that there were probably other spas in Austin that could offer the same level of service, but I enjoy going to the same person and having a sense of loyalty. So I had scheduled an appointment for the same monthly service that I always get, and I accidentally wrote down the wrong time. Mecca called me during the booked appt time t... read more

Used to be my favorite spa – Mecca used to be my favorite spa. I had been going to Mecca twice a month exclusively for more than six months and found a fabulous masseuse and facial person. I loved the locker room, showers and steam room because they were large and spacious. The front desk staff was not very friendly, but that wasn't a big deal since the people giving the treatments were. One day I made and appointment and planned to spend some time with a friend who also had an appointment (on my recommendation). We were rel... read more

This posh downtown retreat offers all the amenities one could imagine from a gym and spa. – In Short Doors open to what resembles an upscale hotel lobby, with a comfortable cafe to the left and an immaculate gym lit by skylights and with cityscape views lying just ahead. The spa experience isn't limited to gym members, though. The Sonya Dakar facial is customized with Dakar's product line, cleansing, exfoliating, extracting and hydrating the face to result in glowing, radiant skin. Another splurge-worthy treatment is the mas... read more

Worth the Austin Traffic! – My husband and I both try out spas both large and small all around the Central Texas area and we finally found our favorite! We were impressed with the layout of the spa/facilities. It was warm and comfortable from the moment we got off the elevator. I felt very catered to with small touches, like choosing your own aromatherapy oil, using warm towels and especially the steam room- very nice touch! We both felt the cost of the massage fit the services and attention to detail! Massage Grande is a gr... read more

Massage Grande calls my name – I've only gotten massages at this spa. I've been happy so far. I love the steam room in the locker room too. Not very impressed with the front desk staff... Yawn, but my massage therapist has always been fantastic!

always a pleasure... – Friendly staff greet you as you step off the elevator. All the necessary amenities in the locker room plus: a eucalyptus steamroom! The gym has lots of machines to choose from and plenty of weights...and while it can get busy in the gym it never feels crowded like others in town. You never feel like you're swallowed by the crowd like at the bigger gyms... you can get to know people in this gym...it feels personal, never anonymous especially when everyone knows your name. Top-notch therapists in the spa... read more

Mecca is for snobs – This is the most overpriced un-impressive gym I have ever visited. The work-out facility is small and does not have near the selection of equipment as the other gyms in town. The spa services are enjoyable but the facility is not up to par compared to resort like spas even though the services are priced the same. Below average Gym with nice spa services
