The BBQ is either so dry you almost choke on it OR it has so much fat on it you can't eat it. The burgers are dry or half way cooked as well. The baked potatoes got so bad I quit ordering them. After my last trip there I said I would never go back. And I haven't. That's been over 5 years ago.

Most unfriendliest people. Raised their voice at an elderly lady and was rude, food quality does not justify this behavior. Will never return.

My favorite barque restaurant! I always enjoy it. I've been a faithful customer for many years and even had my wedding rehearsal dinner there. Great family restaurant with the best food.
I have friends that live in the neighborhood behind McKenzie's. When I'm at their place you can smell the smoke. Went in and finally got a chopped beef sandwich with bbq sauce. I was HOOKED and now I eat there all the time! GREAT SERVICE, CLEAN, FRIENDLY STAFF AND DAMN GOOD FOOD!!
The BBQ is always spot on and the sides delicious as well. When we have out of town guests, McKenzie's is the only place we take them for true Texas BBQ!
