It genuinely seemed that she is not qualified to practice medicine based on her care, many absurd comments, and inability to identify and treat routine issues. She ruined my chil's life with her poor treatment and my child suffers every day of her life because McDowell wasn't intelligent enough to treat her issues properly. It is heart breaking every single day to observe the harm and hardship caused by McDowell

Doctor McDonald has been our twins pediatrician from the moment of birth. Our girls were premature And required lots of medical attention. We were referred to doctor McDowell by a friend and we're happy to have chose her. We trust her decision. She has been a great Pediatrician throughout the year.

According to these reviews, I wish I had looked them over before taking my kids here. She's been our pediatrician for four years, and she has not ONCE greeted my children by name upon entering the room, and she speaks to us like she's a robot. She is passively polite, and doesn't really listen to and absorb what you have to say, and if she finds out your kids drink watered down apple juice over milk--forget it. The Good-- She has a friendly disposition, is from the community she serves, and always run on time. I have never had to wait along time and have always been able to secure appointments both routine and acute. Friendly office staff and PA as well. The Bad: She tends to be very strict with weight, bedtime and exercise regimens, even when said child is deemed normal weight and healthy by her own standards. She is one of the absolute worst pediatricians in Central Fl. She is awful and her lack of intelligence in the medical field caused harm to our child. Do not risk your child’s safety with this “doctor.”

On today 7/28/2020 I called the office at 1100am to speak to a triage nurse about an on going health issue my daughter has been having because her symptoms were becoming worst, A very friendly lady took a message and said I would hear back from someone. I called back at 4pm when I hadn't heard back; The office closes at 5:30pm and just wanted to insure my message was received and someone would in fact return my call. I grew up going to Dr. McDowell. She came off as cold and blunt to me as a kid. I was hesitant with getting shots and her response was more of a too bad, deal with it. I was also about 15 lbs overweight in middle school and the way she dealt with that was terrible and greatly influenced me. She acted like she was bothered by being there and had better things to do. She also gave off a superiority vibe. I now have a child and will absolutely never take them to see her.
