Homestead Manor was built by Mr. & Mrs. Francis Giddens, who obtained the property through a Revolutionary War Grant. After moving to Tennessee from Virginia, the Giddens, using bricks and woods made on site built the home. It was completed in 1819. On March 5, 1863, the Civil War Battle of Thompson’s Station took place on the property as Confederate troops led by General Nathan Bedford Forrest clashed with Federalist forces. Me and my girlfriend came in last week and we both cannot stop thinking, and talking about this place. We told them it was our first time and they brought us a "thank you" starter to show appreciation. Then we got the bread plate and lamb chops for appetizers. The bread has had the same starter for i believe he said over 100 years! Our first course were salads, she got the beet salad and I the mixed greens. This was the best experience we have had in a very long time, atmosphere was great. Staff, incredibly friendly. Food, OMG so so good! 10000/10! It was the perfect treat yourself meal for our honeymoon trip The Birketts
Food 10/10 service 10/10 drinks 10/10. If you come make sure you get the bread service. You are welcome. The tenderloin is soooo tender and delish. Make sure if you are in Franklin TN stop in.
