Dr. McClure is very patient with clients and listens well to responses. He always has suggestions on medications to try and is open to patient feedback on how they work or not.
Dr. McClure basically saved my life. I was out of hope and at the lowest I've ever been when I was referred to him 3 years ago. He offered me compassion and understanding and an amazing knowledge of medicine that turned my life around.. With regular visits, he has helped me maintain my stability all this time. He respected me and I never sensed any judgment. I highly respect Dr. McClure. I feel like he saved my life. For that I am thankful.
Dr. McClure is a egotistical, narcissistic, senile old man. Who will criticize and judge you if you do not do what he wants you to do. There is n constructive criticize with him. As you can see any bad reviews written about him. he always uses excuses, or it's the patients fault, never i am sorry, or i should have tried this treatment, or i am sorry you feel that way. I would not recommend him to ANYONE!! and he should retire because his old age is getting to him. He thinks he can run a psychiatry all by himself without remin... read more
Business response:
Your aging parents brought you to me because of your abusive behavior toward them and your persistent “failure to launch”. You refused to comply with recommendations from your therapist and myself for medically necessary testing, evaluation and treatment strategies designed to deal with your long history of manipulative rage attacks. Furthermore, you attempted to intimidate me into prescribing medications that have the potential for worsening your rage attacks. I recently mailed you a two page typed letter detailing the reas... read more
My husband began seeing Dr. McClure 14 months ago. He was at a very low spot, in his mid-50's, and felt like he had tried everything and had seen every doctor with no success. Fortunately we came across Dr. McClure through a recommendation. Dr. McClure has been able to help my husband when no other doctor could seem to find the right combination of treatments. Dr. McClure is a straight shooting doctor. The difference is simply amazing! We are so thankful for Dr. McClure!
Business response:
Thank you! And thanks to your husband for his willingness to patiently work with me thru a series of complex treament decisions until we found the right mix of medications!
Dr. McClure is the most professional and helpful psychiatrist I have ever had. He helps with perspective on top of everything else and he helps me to laugh at myself without increased self-consciousness or shame. Until there are breakthroughs that work to eliminate chronic depression for a lifetime, for me, I will trust in the therapy I receive from Dr. McClure.
I'm so happy I found Dr. McClure 4 years ago. I have seen so many doctors for bipolar disorder over my 17 year diagnosis. He is far and away the best one. Dr. M is warm, personable and regards you as a human being. He is a great educator and the ease of getting through to him in a crisis is unparalleled. He is a master in his field and I am so grateful I found him through the recommendation of a friend.
Dr. McClure, along with a therapist, has changed my life. I arrived back in the US after 11 years overseas with severe depression and anxiety. I was barely functioning. For the last 9 (wow!) years I have been treated with respect and believed. He has changed my meds as needed. He finally recommended ECT to break through the depression. For the past two years, I have been depression free! I so appreciate his attention and compassion in his treatment.
Business response:
Thank you for your willingness to "go the extra mile", because that has made a huge difference!
I am Bi Polar and have struggled with General Practitioners attempting to treat it for years. Dr. Scott McClure immediately recognized the original diagnosis of Bi Polar Type 2 as truly being Bi Polar Type 1 and began treating me accordingly. He is very thorough when explaining the medications he prescribes me and the possible side effects to watch for. On follow up appointments he asks detailed questions to be sure the prescriptions are working the way they should be. I wish I found Dr. McClure 10 years ago, the last decade... read more
