DO NOT GO HERE. I went in to the see the Dr about a small spot on my nose. I didn't have to wait very long for the Dr to see me (which was nice), but I also only got about 60 secs to speak with the Dr. She asked why I was here, I explained the spot on my nose, she asked ZERO follow-up questions. SHE FROZE OFF THE WRONG SPOT. So the pain, the subsequent giant scab that stayed on my nose for 2 weeks, and the $$ was all for naught. Please please please - save yourself the time, pain and money.
I saw Dr. McAlvany for a scalp issue. She took care of me and had me in and out in less than 15 minutes. Very satisfied with her treatment.
Dr. Hanson is highly skilled in her craft, takes plenty of time with a patient, answers all questions, and follows up religiously. Be sure to ask questions about the Mometasone Furoate Cream if you have a precancer. This causes scabbing on the skin surface and can be disconcerting for the unprepared patient. Go over this with her until you reach a comfort zone. Also suggest you do web research on the med so you are fully informed. She has been following me for about 4 yrs; i am very pleased.
This was my first - and last- appointment with Dr. McAlvany. I got the feeling she didn't really know what was causing my skin irritation - she mentioned several things before writing a prescription. I didn't feel confident dealing with her. She looked very unprofessional - barefoot in sandals - yes, it's summer, but still--- Also she was way too tan for a dermatologist.
