Had an appointment that was canceled and since I waited over a month I called to see if the office can squeeze me in faster. They offered me an appointment with dr. McAlvany who I did not know beforehand. I took the appointment. Check in was fast and easy. The nurse who took me to the room was also fast and ask me maybe 2 questions. The doc came in quickly with a canister of nitrogen…..got right to the point….shot me with the canister in the areas of concern and was out the door. Probably a 3-5 min at most visit. Spent little time, no answers & dismissed concerns. Came in for a spot I was concerned was a Basal Cell and told me it looked nothing like it. I have had 4 basal cells this year and all looked exactly like this. She dismissed me, my concerns and offered no alternative of what it could might be and said I have no idea. Very unhelpful, not kind, and didn’t listen to my concerns.
I was a new patient today. I’ve seen more doctors in all different fields over the years, then I can count. I have a lot of health issues and I have to say that this doctor is in the top three or four of the rudest doctors I’ve ever encountered! From the minute she walked in the room, , her demeanor was cold, callous, condescending, negative, unhelpful, rude, and any other negative adjective I can think of. Very Attentive and patient
I’ve got more attention from the person at Starbucks who does my coffee, than from the doctor. She looked pathetic and arrogant, retired on the job. What a waste of medical degree.
I felt she was condescending, arrogant, and hurried. Had a friend who went to her and said same thing. She needs to work on her bedside manner. Would not recommend Dr. McAlvany

Love this doctor. Answered all my questions. So nice!!!
Dr. McAlvaney was very professional and took care of my 17 year old daughter Mary's concerns over teenage skin problems.
