RecommendedIt’s not only the best Mexican Restaurant in Manhattan I would say it’s the best in the United States !! I have been a customer of theirs since 1986 when I lived two blocks from the restaurant, now I live 50 miles north of Maz Mezcal but I make it there a couple of times a year to enjoy their hospitality.
Very friendly atmosphere, the food and drinks were delicious and most of all the owner was so pleasant and friendly

It is a special place. The cuisine is superb. The atmosphere and service is great. I have dined there for over 30 years.
We’ve been coming here since the early 1980’s when it was El Sombrero and then as Maz Mezcal and it never disappoints. We moved to VA IN the late 80’s and come me here every time we’re in NYC. Always delicious!
