RecommendedGreat food and service. We felt really safe here because the staff are all wearing masks and gloves, they take your temperature, and they have distance between everyone. Definitely recommend this place.

Yesterday I wrote an honest review of my dining experience here at Maz Mexcal. I began by saying this has always been my favorite Mexican restaurant on the UES. I had a less than positive experience on Wednesday night between the service and the food. I mentioned no names. Maz Mezcal is an excellent establishment. Beyond the food and great drinks the service is really what tops it off. I really commend their efforts during these difficult times as I have witnessed a disappointing amount of restaurants not taking the proper precautions to keep people safe. Their seating structure is not just for show, they actually take the time to assure it's spaced out appropriately and properly meets daily guidelines and codes that would protect their customers to their fullest capability.
