The cream of crab soup was excellent. I feel in love with she crab soup when I lived in Charleston. This isnt exactly the same kind of soup, but is every bit as delicious. The food was reasonably good and reasonably priced.
I was home for a family wedding. Whenever I get home from Boston I try to find some crabs. May's is an absolute gem and now that I know about it, it will absolutely be the first stop for our family each time we come home! Great food, excellent friendly service, awesome ambience...the perfect MD crabshack that reminds us all of the best crab feast you ever had as a kid! Thanks May's for giving this Marylander all the best that is the best of MD in one visit! 🦀🦀🦀
Would it be a reach to say I put a deposit on a building lot and I plan on moving to Frederick just so I can go to May's the rest of my life? OK. Over the top, but... We really liked our meal and the wait staff. Two for two! Great food. Beer in pitchers. Great people. Two thumbs up.

Gigantic meaty crabs, steamed jumbo shrimp, fries and ice cold Yuengling. Best visit yet! To the May family, thanks for doing it right and keeping it consistant. Still the best food stop of every visit to the Frederick MD area for me!
