I’m a retired physician who traveled from Albuquerque to Mayo Retina in Garden Grove for photobiomodulation therapy to treat my macular degeneration. After just six treatments, my corrected vision improved to 20/20 in both eyes—an amazing result. Dr. Mayo has gone above and beyond, even adjusting his schedule to fit my travel needs and personally following up with me. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Mayo for over 7 years, and I cannot recommend him enough. Horrible place. Always “busy.” The reason why it’s so busy is because the doctor likes to do side quest. I waited and hour outside in lobby, then came inside to wait inside the dark room, only to hear the doctor go “oh I’ll go get the food” and leave. Then he comes back after like 30 minutes and starts calling people who came in behind us. I get the motion is to make it quicker since other people were a quick visit, but Since he left, an influx of came in, now they’re waiting.
