I worked there for 29 years and loved it. Great hospital.
I scheduled out a podiatrist appointment 3 months ago for today. I left teaching early for this, drive 45 minutes back to Mankato to find out the doctor was 40 minutes behind at best. My options were to wait today (because my time is obviously not as important as his), or wait until August to be seen again. Why do we have a podiatrist in a town of nearly 70,000 people only once a week? If I want to go to OFC, I need a referral, so that isn't an option until I go here first. They really took great care of my fiancé when she was going through her illness � love every single one of the workers there! From the doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, volunteers, housekeeping, receptionists and everybody else! Your hospital really puts the patient first and you all should be very very proud! I could go on and on! Outstanding staff!!!

8 years ago tonight I broke my ankle while visiting in Hutchinson, being a holiday I was then transferred to Immanuel St. Joe Health in Mankato to have surgery on Christmas Eve. The nursing staff was amazing, accomadating my mom who insisted she be with me since it was Christmas and I was visiting from St.Louis. The surgical staff lead by Dr.Scott Stevens did an amazing job and I was able to leave on Christmas day and be back home at my Moms for the holiday
I have never received anything but top shelf care at this facility. The staff truly cares about their patients.
I visited an elderly man and I was so disappointed in the hospital. A male nurse came and listened to his lungs and heart and did the blood pressure thing. I asked the nurse a couple of questions and he said he would be right back, never saw him again. When I walked past the nurses station he was busy replacing the batteries in his watch. I know that patients now have to order their own meals but for the elderly I feel a nurse or aide should help them.
