Outside of Mayo Clinic itself, ISJ is a good Hospital. All 3 of our kids were born there. My father in law had a stent put in after a heart attack at the cardiac center. And a few other hospitalizations over the years for things. Dr's and nurses were professional and always took care of our issues.
Staff were very nice willing to help. hopefully when all this counstriction is done with be easier to get around. only bad thing is the parking very limited with out walking a huge distance
I had a stroke on my right side. It did not affect my ability to think or speak or feel. I was put in a bed with an alarm on and had a camera on me 24/7. I was badgered by the nurses with words and actions. I heard them outside my room saying “she figured out where the call button is”. Long waits, high costs, and referral to an incapable doctor in their system...had to find my own help elsewhere...poor care for what Mayo is usually not recognized for. Rochester is much better.
We had a nurse by the name Kiera on Saturday in room 2616. She was amazing, she went above and beyond on everything.
I want say I had a gastric bypass by Dr.gilmore fantastic team would want no other my thanks for giving me a new life God bless you all your the best. Garry Huckfeldt���
Just had some minor-ish surgery. The entire staff was excellent and attentive. The shared room was a bit congested but I was only there for a day, so I didn't have any issues.
