Horrible place. Over drugged and they misdiagnosed me with bipolar disorder. I went to to a second and third opinion and they had me stop medications and that what they prescribed wasn’t necessary and they didn’t like it. Their staff is abusive verbally and physically. They kept me there for almost a month because they saw I had good insurance and wanted to use it up. Get real help and stay away from this place.

I worked alongside David when he was interim director of nursing and house supervisor, I did not have the same experience. Our CEO is constantly encouraging to all staff and wants to make a change in mental health. The building is under construction to help make changes of separating high acuity patients from higher functioning patients. This was an issue brought up in other reviews that we are addressing. Working there was one of the most horrible experiences I’ve ever had in my life. Upper management acts like they’re in high school talking about one another CEO Is interested in one thing and one thing only! padding her pockets-Drives good employees out then doesn’t hire ones to take their place so she can make budget Horrible! Patients are unsafe as well

I cannot begin to list all the criminal acts this hospital gets away with. My daughter was held against her will in March. Her patient and civil rights were violated. Her medical file has been altered depending on who Mayhill is releasing it to. They have nurses who are felons working directly with patients. The lack of compliance of patients rights under Texas Law would be laughable if it wasn't so sad. Heather R. please report this to the media. The Denton Police Department will not help you. My daughter was sent to Mayhill while waiting for a bed at a drug rehab center to open the next day. She has had the same experience as J - she saw Dr. Sabahat Faheem once on Monday for approximately 2 minutes. The Dr. pronounced a diagnosis bases on those 2 minutes that prevented my daughter from being transferred to the rehab center. Rude rude staff. Especially front desk. No communication between doctors and staff so constantly told different things. Person named Paige should be fired by the way she talks and greets people coming for visitation. My child had to dry off with bed sheets because they had no towels clean, twice. They do not care! They have roaches in cafeteria. Terrible place

The worst hospital I have ever been to . They do not care at all about your family or loved one . Communication between staff is ridiculous. They don't watch over patients. Older men talking inappropriately to young girl patients there . Most of the staff is very very very rude, with the exception of some of the technicians. Do not leave your family here. nasty dirty,and careless. Horrible terrible,place! Stay away!!!

My daughter was a voluntary admit to this hospital after taking 10 to 15 ibuprofen. Her roommate panicked and told the responding medics that she thought my daughter was trying to commit suicide. At no time did my daughter say she was trying to commit suicide but she volunteered to be admitted after being told that if she did not, she would be forced. Her fist "evaluation" by her doctor was about 1 or 2 minutes long and consisted of only four questions. The same day she asked to leave. The next day she met with the doctor ... read more

I felt unsafe. It was awful. I suffered from depression. A Schizophrenia and a dementia ruled the floor. Staff would tell them to go to their rooms only for them to come right back out. Shouting obscenities, banging on Windows and doors, pulling their pants down exposing themselves. Two young female techs (Caucasian) were rude and more immature then the patients. Food was terrible. Freezing rooms. Would never recommend this facility to anyone.
