Horrible place. Over drugged and they misdiagnosed me with bipolar disorder. I went to to a second and third opinion and they had me stop medications and that what they prescribed wasn’t necessary and they didn’t like it. Their staff is abusive verbally and physically. They kept me there for almost a month because they saw I had good insurance and wanted to use it up. Get real help and stay away from this place.
If you value your physical health as well as your mental. Run as far away from Southridge as fast as you can. No social workers running groups, no nutritional food. Broken arms going days without ER, no heart meds, no diabetes meds, no cardiac concern. Nothing matters from neck down. Can’t even have a BM without somebody having to view you 3 Xs! I visited the ER at the hospital two days ago with my mother who was experiencing some medical complications. Mind you this was my first visit and I was thoroughly impressed from the entrance. The staff that was responsible for logging her in to be seen by an attending physician in the ER was extremely professional, caring and competent. I have been to Black Bear Lodge twice and the first experience I had was fairly good, but the second was terrible. I Checked into detox on a Wednesday to start the medical process and when I was cleared on Saturday by the doctor I was not moved to a cabin as promised. Instead I was kept in the detox facility that was a loud and rambunctious atmosphere. Quite concerned about some of the things I saw, and heartbroken because this service is so needed in our community. It's absolutely crucial that a psychiatric facility is adequately staffed and has proper systems in place prior to attempting to care for both violent and/or vulnerable patients. Unfortunately, for now I would seek care elsewhere.

The break room had more bugs than snacks, and the stress? Served 24/7 like the cafeteria mystery meat. If you’re into trauma bonding with pests and chaos, this is your Disneyland. Otherwise, run — and don’t forget to shake out your scrubs before you leave.

I recently went to emergency at Northern Nv medical hospital and yes they got in very quickly but the doctor was not very professional , she was wearing winter pants, dirty tennis shoes and a dirty jacket, but the worst part is the she handle her self as a doctor. Dr. Myers and the Desert Springs ER team were excellent in service and patient care! It was amazing to hear Dr. Myers compliment me for doing everything right with my future knee replacement and my New Balance shoes! Thank you always for your care!
