I'm truly not believing the response from Sister Sister. The nerve of them. Ladies there is absolutely no way in h*ll that we should be giving our money to these women. I'm not understanding, why are we "BLACK AMERICAN WOMEN" tolerating such treatment. We are hard working U.S. citizens and we deserve to be treated with the upmost respect from whom ever. I have printed copies of the reviews and are posting them around town. I can't stop them by myself but if we all join together by not doing business with these people "we" ca... read more

I took my 7 y.o. daughter there. My daughter is very tender-headed. She also has anxiety disorder and becomes over-stimulated in new unfamiliar settings. I stepped outside for 5 or so mins to take a call. When we got home, my daughter informed me that when I walked out of the shop, she became teary-eyed and started to cry because the braiding hurt and because she was feeling her anxiety flair. The two women working on her hair laughed when she began crying and mocked her when she said "Ouch, it hurts some." Who does this to ... read more

Not happy this time with my braids. The shop uses cheap hair. They must have changed vendors. The ladies are not friendly but the jobs is normally great. Guess I will try another shop.

My sista's these comments from both parties puts a distaste in my mouth. We must stick together, up lift each other, and understand the struggle of just being a black woman. I want to extend a hand and welcome you to the States and although I feel that poor is poor no matter how you look at it each person struggle is different. What you do as a African is considered to be a art in my book. I know how to braid, twist, etc but I don't know how to work as fast as you or know the ends and outs of this particular art. On that not... read more

This is directed toward "fatimann".... Firstly, it's obvious that you don't know squat about African American Females in this country because of the racist and unfounded [look it up if you don't know what that means] comments you've made. Firstly, I'm willing to bet if I came to your shop, since we African American Females are "so jealous and uneducated", MOSTLY NONE OF YOU WOULD BE LICENSED BY THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF LICENSING AND REGULATIONS- MEANING ALL IT WOULD TAKE IS A FEW PHONE CALLS TO THE STATE BOARD TO GET YOU SHUT... read more

I have read these comments and it is okay to provide your feedback without placing GOD into the equation – we are talking about service, braiding service. I went to Sister-Sister...some are rude and some of the ladies are not that is just the nature of the beast. The rudeness is not the issue (I can over look that) - the issue was my braiding...I paid a lot of $$ for my braids, I asked if they can make them small enough so that when in a ponytail, the ponytail would be full. Issue 1). The surrounding braids were small but in... read more

After reading these reviews I am very shocked! I had a great experience with this shop on hwy6. They talked to me when I was sitting in my car lol. My son locked my keys in my car while I was getting my hair braided, and the manager went across the street in her car and got a clothes hanger to help me get them out. If that's not going above and beyond the call of duty then I don't know what is! She even bought a door thingy to help me. So I love this shop. Maybe yall should travel to hwy 6 next time cause they put me right i... read more

Well, I believe you must show yourself friendly in order to have friends. That's Bible country people. Jesus Christ didn't go around complaining about how no body didn't speak to Him when He gathered around, He is "The FRIEND" of the friendless. Stop down playing our African sisters period. Mama does my hair and even when I ran into problems because my hair is very fine she told me how to care for it & she cared for it when I came. That was my first time at the hair salon & they spoke to me when I first came in, & I don't wa... read more
