Ok food trying too -hard chicken chunks overcooked. Drinks great Staff professional. Very nice atmosphere just wish food was better for the over inflated price.
We came to Maximón to celebrate my wife’s birthday with a group of seven, and overall we had a really nice experience. The ambiance was great, and the live music was awesome and really added to the atmosphere. We actually arrived about 15 minutes early for our reservation, and they were still able to seat us fairly quickly, which we appreciated. I have to be honest and while they tried hard, we kept on saying, "huh, it's a little weird." The drinks, food, service, all a bit weird. Salsa was green; good but weird. Guac had blackberries in it; what the what? Good, not great, a little weird. The zucchini cake I'm sorry is a major pass. Beans and rice? Lima beans and arborio with st of saffron. Manchego fruit salad? A little weird. My lamb birra taco was very good... Al pastor tough and a little weird.
