Bourbon St. in Upstate NY! This eatery is one of the major reasons that I miss living in Ithaca, NY. Located not too far from the heart of the city, this restaurant and raw bar features some of the best cajun food I've had! There's almost always a wait though, and they don't take reservations. YUM. The first time I went to Maxies I was blown away. First by the unique but fun interior, but then more importantly by the food. My favorite dish by far is the cajun crawfish appetizer. Sometimes we have to get one for each person because it is just so delicious. Other favorites include the po' boy sandwiches, pulled pork, and chicken fried chicken. But there's so much more! Good eats Its worth putting up with the cramped feeling and excessive noise in this marvelous oyster bar and Cajun eatery. The food is almost all spicy, and youll need to go again and again to try everything that tempts you on the menu. Happy hour until 6 pm means half-price oysters and clams from the raw bar.
Maxies Supper Club This is a great restaurant to go for seafood or southern style meals. It can be very crowded and loud on weekend nights but the food is often worth the wait. The prices are higher than some of the other local restaurants but the service is great.
