We specialize in Southern layer cakes.....true scratch recipes. We use fresh , local ingredients and offer a large selection of cake flavors each day. You can come in and purchase cakes by the slice, cupcakes right out of our case, frozen yogurt and ice cream.....or just sit in and relax with a cup of coffee. We can design custom cakes for showers, birthdays, weddings, anniversarys or celebrations. If you need a last minute cake for a get together, we have that too!

I dream of trying every cake Maxie B's makes! My next one is Pink Lemonade. We had strawberry/buttercream for Mother's Day dessert. Oh my Heavens...You will gain weight, but life is too short, eat cake!
I won't be back. I requested a piece of birthday cake (that was on sale for $2.83) to the lady at the front and she said okay when I got to the register to pay she had already gave it someone else and told me they had more but it was going to be $5. I'm not paying $5 for her mistake when it should've only been $3.
This place is awesome! I gave them a crazy idea for my grooms cake. They took my ideas and pictures and made it happen. Even better than I could have ever imagined. Not to mention the cake was actually good!
Maxie B's Bakery was a complete life saver! After another bakery cancelled our wedding cake tasting without notice, they got us in the same day that we were in town (living a couple hours away this was a saving grace). Absolutely wonderful. The interior is beautiful & the team behind the counters were absolutely delightful to speak to. Although some customers found it out of place, the ladies of Maxie B's made my pup-rescue feel at home and didn't think twice to be welcoming to my four legged friend. I got the key lime cupcake and it was okay but wasn't what I expecting considering everything I had heard about the restaurant. It smelled slightly of dog inside the store and not a single employee was wearing gloves. They were handling the food with bare hands and money with those same dirty hands. I probably will not be going back. :/
Just top notch !! Lines out the door.... what a way to run a business... just exciting to see the continuous crowds...and of course the food is beyond great...I would rate 10 stars not 5 !!
I am the proud parent of 4 Yorkies and 2 Chinese Crested Mixes. I love going to Maxie B's to get a delicious piece of cake for dessert! So yesterday I went by and got my special cakes and bought some 'pup-cakes'. Tiny dog cupcakes made of whole wheat, carrot, peanut butter, apple and banana. Well the pups love them!!! I give them a quarter of one with their dinner and they can't eat enough!! Before bed, I give them a half of one each and no tummy upset, nice full belly for sleep, and they seem happier.
