We specialize in Southern layer cakes.....true scratch recipes. We use fresh , local ingredients and offer a large selection of cake flavors each day. You can come in and purchase cakes by the slice, cupcakes right out of our case, frozen yogurt and ice cream.....or just sit in and relax with a cup of coffee. We can design custom cakes for showers, birthdays, weddings, anniversarys or celebrations. If you need a last minute cake for a get together, we have that too!

Truly appreciate Maxie B's for accommodating me in a last minute cake order!
Ordered my fiance's birthday cake from here and served it at his party last night; everyone was raving about the cake (fresh apple). I was worried with the larger size that the cake would be dry, but it was delicious!! Maxie B's never disappoints, we love everything on their menu.
The cake was absolutely DELICIOUS. Will definitely be back. 🎂😍
Maxie B's is a great place to get excellent desserts. The atmosphere is second to none as well. We drive from Winston-Salem to get cake! Delicious!
We had 2 slices of cake to eat there, one was dry and mediocre and the other was really good! Took a cupcake and a slice of cake home, and they were dry and just not great. So for 3 pieces of cake & 1 cupcake we paid over $20! I doubt I will go back & stand in a very long line for dry cake.

We are sorry that you didn’t like the goodies. It is very important that our cakes and cupcakes are served at room temp because we bake from scratch with real butter. Perhaps with it being such a busy time, the items you had that were dry still had a slight chill on them considering we were probably going through cakes pretty quickly...while the really yummy one was at the ideal serving temperature. They did an amazing job on my wedding cakes. That’s right I got 5 of them because I couldn’t decide between all of their amazing flavors. They did an amazing job & I couldn’t have been happier.
