RecommendedI haven’t been there in over 40 years. The food was good.
No one at meat station - so forget about getting ham on Sunday special - drink your glass slow as your refill comes at the end of meal. A member of our party found piece plastic in stuffing. Our party had to clear our own salad plates to nearby table that sat there nearly entire dining experience. The salad bar and ice cream station no longer exist. I gave them another try as in March had bad experience with meet station lady, but won't be back after going there today for ham, chicken, pork buffet dinner.
Friendly and Polite Wait staff very fast service everything ordered was delicious and fresh Attended restuarant at around 4PM on a Friday
My chicken was not cooked
Needs updating some of the fish was dry and set around to long. Just not worth the price they charge. The last 3 or 4 times we have been there we say we’re not going back but we do because it used to be great. This last time my wife said never again, I agree.
Maxfields restaurant has been a destination restaurant for many years. we celebrated my birthday yesterday and as always the service was excellent and the great selection of sea food was delicious. Maxfields has been my favorite restaurant for a long time and never disappoints me and my family. — with Bonnie Henry.
Our granddaughter's softball game got cancelled on Wednesday night, so on the spur of the moment we decided to eat at Maxfield's Restaurant. Both my husband and I ordered the Wednesday special-barbecue ribs and shrimp! Both were fantastic! Ribs fell off the bone, the shrimp were huge and so tender! We were unable to clean our plates because the portions were so large! Maxfield's is such a gem and we are soooo fortunate to have it in our community!
I have heard about this place for 20 some years and had never been. While it seems that some of the things that made it a huge attraction have been taken away, it was still a dining experience. Food was good, service was excellent and the atmosphere was simple and a little kitschy.
got rid of the all you can eat crab legs, that was the only reason for going there,, and they got rid of the salad bar.. charging $18 for a $10 or $12 buffet. Wasted our Anniversary going to dinner here,, NEVER Again!!!!!!! No CRAB no INTEREST
