Yeah!! to Mavericks Telegraph I was a member at the walker st gym also. I was devastated when I heard it was closing. I contimplated going to other gyms and even tried a couple 1 week memberships. Then i decided to try the Telegraph Rd. Mavericks. Ok who ever thinks there equipment is in need of constant repair, obviously dont use the equipment. very good option when visiting Ventura I was down here on vacation august 2009 for 1 week.The employees could not have been nicer and more helpful. They have lot of good equipment to meet everyone needs. Its not the most current, but is all in good working condition. The music was fun to listen to.I would highly recommend

False Advertising Mavericks offers a coupon in the 2007 Discovery Dining book for a free month pass at one of the Ventura locations. The only requirements on the coupon were a valid ID and to be over the age of 18. I was told I needed to talk to a sales representative when I presented the coupon. He said that it was only good if I signed up for a years membership! I would call that false advertising.
YOU GET OUT OF IT WHAT YOU PUT INTO IT! There are some fabulous trainers and some fabulous classes at this gym. I have been going for many years, all times of the day and have made many friends through the gym...if you really participate, you will get a great community experience. I used to go Sunday nights after my kids went to bed. This is my only disappointment that they now close at 7:00PM on Sundays.
Gym This was an okay gym, honestly there were nothing too special about it. Wasn't that large, people weren't very helpful. If you want a good large gym, go to Gold's Gym. They just opened one up in Oxnard, very large and brand new. PROS: CONS: service, small
