Horrible People Its an okay gym, with all the normal gym things, but they are horrible if you try to quit. They almost refuse to let you do it over the phone, quiz you as to you can't come in so that they can badger you in person and if you insist then they give you a number (apparently its too difficult to connect you) of a woman who I doubt exists as she has never actually answered the phone. Plus her email address is an "aim.com". Really? an aim?

So SAD I used to LOVE this gym!!! But unfortunately now it's gone beyond down hill....My rates were raised about 6 months ago ( I was able to deal with that) for the reason being was to try and keep it small and better equipment and classes, but this didn't work! The gym is beyond crowded!!! and the classes are beyond crowded!!! I found times that I could go to avoid the crowds and the absolute NOOO parking! and then I was checking my bank statement and had realized that there was an unannounced fee. Sad Slide Downhill! I have been a member of Maverick's gym on Telephone road for 10 years, unfortunately it has undergone many changes and each time it seems to slip further downhill. It has become more crowded since closing down other locations, yet they have raised their fees and have not increased their class schedules. They do offer great classes, but unless you are able to arrive 30 minutes early you can't get a spot. The studio is just too small. I really miss the small family gym feel it once had. Mavericks Gym is unethical! Mavericks is very unprofessional. I too had an issue where Le Mirage sold them my membership and information without my knowledge or consent. I have spent a month and a half fighting this. I have left messages for both billing and even the owner and have not received a call back, just a hefty cancelation fee for a gym I never signed up for. I am and will fight this. Mavericks Gym is a Scam! Mavericks Gym ( http://www.mavericksventura.com/ ) in Ventura CA will scam you out of your money when you try to cancel! First they wont let you cancel by calling or going to the gym. They make you mail a letter. Obviously they just do this to make it inconvenient for you to cancel. Then they tell you that you have to pay for the next month even if you cannot go to the gym the next month. Call to ACTION! I have been a victim of fraud with this business. When Le Mirage closed and the accounts were alleged transferred to Mavericks, I was not notified. When I found out that my account had been transferred I went in to check out Mavericks. After a quick look around I was not pleased with what I saw. The equipment was old and unclean. Mavericks Gym is an F rating I was a member of Le Mirage and Total Woman & was never informed they closed; it was posted on the door and am now filing a small claims action and a complaint with the BBB, District Attorney & the FTC. By the way the BBB rating for all of the Mavericks is an 'F'. I would like to see these owners stopped from their fraudulent business practices. Mavericks Gym is depressing To Chuck N., no, unfortrunately, David Hill is not the best owner you could have. I have been a member of his for 11 years, first at Total Woman, and then for the last three years at Mavericks. I was also a member at Le Mirage. Mavericks Gym is UNETHICAL The big gym scam at it's worst. I was a member of the Mavericks Sports Club for years and I liked it. During a lay off from training they closed and I was transferred to the club on telephone (which I never signed up for or wanted any part of) without notification.
