The car is functioning perfectly and running better than it ever has and I'm extremely grateful to have found my downtown repair shop. Definitely would highly recommend Maurice's to anyone I know in Detroit.

"Maurice's is an amazing choice if you're in trouble with your car. I took in my van this afternoon and Maurice himself drove around with me to try to feel out the problem before I started service. I needed new tires, so he sent me down the street to a tire shop. He checked my brakes before that and explained to me exactly what I'd need to do with new tires, as it was my first time buying them. Honest, friendly, sincere service. Awesome!!!"

From where I stand, this is a model business. Clean environment, friendly service, and a prompt turnaround made my experience here great. I drive a classic truck and sometimes a shop will tell me they can work on it, only to find out that either: 1.) They lied and nobody there knows what to do with it, or 2.) I have to wait for some special person to show up and do the work. Maurice took care of me, no problem, and I got my truck back by the end of the day.

Being new to town and, let's say, less that adept at auto mechanics, I panicked a little when my engine light came on and the need for a mechanic arose. After scouring online reviews for the best auto repair in Detroit, I ventured to Maurice's. Most mechanics and retailers in general would have tried to sell me as many products and services as possible to meet quota, not necessarily customer need. Came in for a weird sound, did not even know where it was coming from. They looked at it right away and was very curtious. He was very detailed and only did what was absolutely needed. He did not over charge or put in any small taxes that add up or anything. I will deff. Come back here if anything else pops up.

A safe & friendly atmosphere with professionals hard at work. As a female, I was at ease as Maurice explained the problem, the solution and the cost. It was quite obvious to me from the start that this business takes pride in their work and I am now a fan for life. I will highly recommend this place of business!

This place is very well-run, got my truck back running well again without having to wait a long time or call the shop repeatedly. Maurice and his staff will go out of their way to get you back on the road. I'll be back for sure next time my truck dies as it's a short bike ride away right down Woodward!

This is a great shop. Took my truck here when the fuel pump died and had it replaced, along with the timing belt which was about to go. After I got my truck back and running I saw my battery cable snap and the truck driving very rough. Maurice did a full tune-up, fixed the battery cable, replaced filters and plugs, and repaired the exhaust. When he found the issue was with the timing belt he didn't charge me for any of the work!

Thus far all is well with the starter switch and the dash seems to be put back properly. I was wowed by the price of repair and not told beforehand what the installation would cost. I do appreciate being taken care of the same day while I waited. Indeed, I called at the last minute.
