Her bedside manner was horrible , she asked me questions about why I was there and when I provided the answers she responded rudely. At one point during the visit she told me that my grandfather couldn’t have died from the cancer I thought he did. I asked for the questioning to end after she told me my lump couldn’t be the size I described. She never even examined me
I met Dr. Chung back in 1999 in RI. She did my lumpectomy. I cannot stress what a wonderful, compassionate, excellent surgeon she is. If ever needed, I will do what it takes to have her services.
Dr Chung and her staff have been absolutely wonderful guiding me through my battle with cancer. From the initial diagnosis through a radical mastectomy and lymph node dissection I have always felt that I have the best team around me. Dr Chung is a terrific surgeon, but don’t believe me, talk to the nurses at Charlton Hospital or VNA nurses that have helped her patients. Her reputation is solid.
Do your research before you undergo surgery. This Dr. is very aggressive with surgery, which is fine in some cases but not all. If I had not had a second opinion I would have had double mastectomy with this Dr. instead of lumpectomy and radiation. Luckily, I did the latter because path reports came back showing slow-growing form for which major surgery is NOT recommended. Find a Dr. who is very meticulous at checking path reports prior to surgery. Doesn't happen at this office!
Dr. Chung took time to sit with me and my husband and explain my cancer diagnosis in detail and answer all my questions, even when I asked them a second time. She was up front about my options and the likelihood of being able to do different surgery options as well as the impacts of each of those options. I found her to be very caring and straight-forward. The surgery itself was successful and less scary than I thought!
Uncaring and rushes patients.
I first met Dr. Chung in July and we discussed my medical issues . She was very caring and listened to my feelings . After going to get a second opinion in Boston I was disappointed and felt I had no options. I went back to Dr. Chung and recently had a bilateral masectomy the surgery went very well and Dr. Chung is a great Doctor and I'm glad I went back to her for the surgery.
