Spent 5 nights at the Royal Kahana, Unit 510. Pro's: Awesome view, big nicely modeled unit. Comfy beds. Nice Showers. Great Lanai. Smooth check-in. Can walk to great sushi and coffee place. Con's: Dishwasher was broken entire time. WiFi instructions very confusing. Royal Kahana has VERY narrow parking-spots, no beach and is an older complex with few amenities. We knew that going in, so not dinging Rental company for it.
Each year, my wife and I, along with my son, daughter-in-law, and grandson, spend a couple of weeks at the Kaanapali Allii in a condo. The grounds and the pools are kept immaculate. This property is at a prime location. It is a short walk along the beach to Whaler's Village and a 10 minute drive to Lahaina. The sunsets there are absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend this property for a family stay.
Our family just spent 10 days in The Whaler, unit 1201 and I cannot say enough wonderful things about it. There were 7 adults - my husband and our 2 girls (24 and 20) stayed in the room with 2 queen beds, my sister-in-law and her husband stayed in the king bedroom and my 18 year old nephew had the study with the murphy bed - perfect and plenty spacious for all. Whaler Resort Kaanapali condo #573 was absolutely exquisite in every way! It is a sunny, stunning, beautifully decorated and spacious condo that exceeded our expectations! We found this Whaler condo perfect for our family. It was comfortable, wonderful vistas, and the grounds, pool, and beach were both beautiful & convenient. There are so many diverse and wonderful activities, boredom was not possible.
The condo was nice and clean. Really fast elevators. The parking was not too far away. The pool and beach area were not too crowded at the end of June. Always towels available. We would have liked a better view instead of the rooftop of the hotel next door. But overall it was fine.
Ka'anapali Ali'i is an awesome property and we plan to stay here with each return trip to Maui. The pools offer a good mix - quiet pool and hot tub for unwinding, larger pool, shallow toddler pool, and not-as-hot hot tub for the whole family. Unit 234 has not been renovated but met our basic needs for sleep and shower. We were at the beach and pool all day and then BBQing for lunch and dinner, so not a lot of time was spent inside the unit. Beautiful condo. Had an amazing time.
We recently stayed at the Kaanapali Alii for 6 days. The room was the perfect size for 4 adults and 2 teenagers. The location couldn't have been more perfect. We were not too far from zip lining, snorkeling, or shopping. The resort was beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.
