Nice locale...it’s a different kind of spicy but tasty! Always good service...I love the Power Bowls and lite plates! Great margs too!
I had bad experience, I would hav dinner and lunch w my beautiful mom before she is passed away ... and I go after her death and this dude takes everybody’s Oder and brings New tables and ignored me and my son for 30. Min ok and than in ignored us again to go take another order ... I did not leave a tip because he was of bad customer service!!!

Great food, excellent service, personable staff and loyalty to customers! They were open on the "ice day when I really needed to have Mexican food!!!� I have been a loyal customer since their grand opening on Lake Austin Blvd. I use to get served beer at the Hula Hut when Joe (owner) was a bartender and remember the day he told me and a friend that he thought he was going to buy Maudie's and make it a Mexican food restaurant...we ask him what he planned to name it and he said, I think I'll keep the same name "Maudie's. The greatest staff, and the best, warmest, nicest, tastiest restaurant that anyone one could live near. South Austin is lucky to have it in the hood!
