not recommended Have finally given up on this salon. Convenient location, but stylist is constantly overbooked and a less experienced stylist does all but 5 or 10 minutes of the cut and color. Payment, however, is as if more experienced stylist has done the work. Indifferent attitude toward customer service. Not good value. I now go to a different salon where they seem to care about my business.
Maybe 2nd times a charm? I was very excited about trying this salon! I thought the salon itself was adorable, hip, urban, and most of the stylists were very friendly to me...except MY stylist. I had to wait 15-20 mins even though I had scheduled an appointment and when she did wander over, she looked as if I was an inconvenience in her day. No one apologized for the wait... Fun and funky in the 'burbs! But don't be late!!! First review: 1/14/08 Maude's motto is "As urban as you can get in the suburbs," and it's true! The salon is clean, comfortable, and inviting, but its whimsical style is what really sets it apart. The decor is urban loft meets shabby chic. I love this place! A true community salon. I always feel at home here-- try a Maudetini and enjoy a great shampoo. They have Bumble and Bumble products and I always leave with gorgeous color. I hop between stylists and have always had a great experience with all of the girls! They aren't uppity at all and have good ideas for updating my style without being over the top.
Don't Go TO Maude I have never been treated so poorly and unprofessionally by a business in my entire life as I was treated by Maude Hair Salon in Herndon, Virginia! After an error was made at time of payment by their staff member, I ended up paying $75 for a $45 hair cut. When I called the next day to resolve the situation and get my money back, they told me that the three owners/managers were away together on vacation and that there was no one who could refund my money and make a decision on this!
