Always a pleasant visit with Dr Lin
Dr. Lin was concerned about some of the post-op collateral effects I reported to him. He gently insisted that I contact my primary care doctor, which I have done. He also referred me to a UCSF cardiologist, but acknowledged that a consultation might take months for availability.
I feel confident to have Dr Matthew Lin take my case and do surgery on me. He was calm, attentive, courteous and knowledgiable. He had thought out my treatment plan, surgerical needs and explained everything to me thoroughly.
Dr. Lin is the best doctor I have ever seen. I had a hernia surgery with him after my first surgery recurred. I ended up having chronic pain and went to UCSF as a final cry for help. The first thing Dr. Lin said to me wasn't "I'm sorry you're in pain." Dr. Lin was the fourth doctor I had seen but the first to say that to me. He performed my second surgery and was able to remove some things from the first surgery while he repaired the hernias. his team is also the best!
