I had an excellent experience with both Dr. Zipoli and his assistant Caleb. Both were friendly and easy to talk to, and both explained each procedure before beginning. Wait times were minimal, and the waiting room was large, comfortable, and clean. I hope I don’t have to return, but I will if necessary. Thank you.
The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Z. was excellent both in preparing me for the procedure (not my first Moh's procedure, but still appreciated) and in performing the procedure. Left a good-sized chunk of my temple missing, but he was able to stitch it closed by stretching the skin below. Dr. Zipoli and his staff are very professional and reassuring and very comforting. My procedure was explained in detail as well as follow-up.
Dr. Zipoli is an excellent Mohs surgeon. He patiently extracted a basal cell carcinoma on my forehead a few layers at a time, which allowed him to check each layer under a microscope to determine how deep to proceed. When he eliminated the problem, he was able to suture it into the temporary shape of a caterpillar, which flattened out and disappeared as it healed. It's an amazing skill he has at doing it. Quality of surgical work during Mohs procedure was outstanding. Communicated every step of the way clearly. Creative solutions to all obstacles encountered. Very calming patient manner. Good sense of humor.
Dr. Zipoli was very attentive during my procedure explaining everything he was doing and what to expect when finished. He was very personal and made me feel comfortable the entire time.
I’ve had two things removed from my face by Dr. Zipoli and the first is almost undetectable and the second was on my eyelid two days ago and I was told that I could have significant bruising (a black eye) due to the location. I have zero bruising and the incision is so perfectly done, I am truly impressed. My mom worked at a plastic surgeons office and always stressed the importance of going to someone good if you ever needed stitches on your face. I've had several MOH's and other surgeries with Dr. Zipoli and with each I've been amazed at the fact that the incision sites have healed without a mark! He seems very open to questions and is willing to discuss what is about to happen. I have had numerous experiences with skin cancer removals prior to working with Dr. Zipoli and I would put him at the top of the list.
