Lunch – Hello again! I just returned from another yummy luncheon at my favorite restaurant! Life is good...
Mushrooms unwashed; Needs Improvement – I ordered the Mahi Mahi salad, and was surprised to find CANNED jalapenos on it when it was served, as there was NO MENTION of any jalapenos on the menu. They seemed out of place. Maybe better if fresh. The menu described it as having "pineapple salsa, cucumbers, atop a garden salad, with a Caribbean mango dressing." I didn't taste the mango at all. WORST EXPERIENCE! – As a Director of Events for a large hotel in the area, I would say I can sometimes be a little pickier then others but this was by far the worst I have ever experienced. We made reservations for Thanksgving Dinner. Upon arrival were greeted by the hostess, our table was not ready yet so we sat and waited as she seated other guests, our turn came about and she pointed across the room and said go over there through those doors and your table is in there. What a great restaurant! – I love this restaurant! It is beautifully decorated and very clean. The servers are very helpful and friendly. My dish was amazing. I look forward to going back soon!
Great Brunch – We had a great brunch experience this past sunday at Matthews. The new brunch menu is awesome and full of variety, they even have a kids breakfast to pick from. This past sunday the resturant seemed especially busy, however our service was great, and the food was still high quality. Party Planned – I have eaten here a few times and have always had a good experience. When it cam time to plan a small party (25 people) I decided to ask. Todd has been great. I have no idea what the "toobusyforus" guys are talking about. Very nice at first meeting and has been attentive both by phone and Email. He has helped us plan a wonderful menu at a very fair price. If you haven't tried Mathew's you should.
Happening Place! – I have lived in Catonsville for 2 years and this was my first time at Matthew's! I had been hearing from my friends how great the place is and decided to give it a try. The place is great!!! The bar area is HUGE and so much fun. The food was delicious and the bartenders were the friendliest around. I suggest you check the place out if you've never been there, you won't be disappointed!
Awesome Party – My Mother turned 75 this year so we decided to have a party for her. We called and spoke with a very nice hostess who took down our information and told us that "Todd" the Banquet Coordinator would get back to us as he is the person who plans the parties at Matthew's.
