An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. That should be the motto of any good Primary Care Physician. Your primary care physician needs to be an expert in keeping you healthy. There are specialists for when things go wrong, but your PCP should be preventing those things from happenening in the first place. I had my first experience with Dr. Acker and this is precisely the type of Doctor he is. At my income level, this is hard to find. I highly recommend Dr. Acker.

Doctor Acker is kind, and polite, and he knows his stuff. He approaches his patients as a team member, as an advisor, not a dictator… he tells me what he thinks honestly, and doesn’t use a lot of medical jargon. He treats the whole person, not just prescribes meds and unnecessary lab tests. Dr. Acker cares about his patients as a whole person, and asks questions, to find out the root of the problem a patient may be dealing with. Stress is correlated with physical symptoms, and problems. Dr. Acker is an awesome PCP. I didn’t feel rushed at all during my visit. He sat down to throughly explain things, and was very warm and friendly! Plan to use him for years to come!
