Dr. Klima is a real blessing to the world and his profession. In our first meeting he stated very clearly and compassionately the issues I was dealing with from a motorcycle accident. He scheduled and completed necessary repairs and reconstruction immediately. I cannot imagine the physical and mental issues that he must deal with in his patients daily. Dr Klima is a miracle worker. I arrived with six cracked ribs, broken femur, and crushed pelvis. 6 months later, no one would know.
Was badly broken in jet ski accident while on vacation. Dr. K patched me up. Pleasant bedside manner, I could tell he really cares.
I believe that the greatest factor that has had the greatest impact on my recovery was the skill of my surgeon, Dr. Klima. I have read a lot about similar injuries (i.e., Type IV Tibia Plateau Fractures) and I know that the alignment of the broken bone fragments after surgery is the most important thing that affects future healing and mobility. My post surgery X Rays along with my rapid recovery clearly demonstrate to me that Dr. Klima’s skills are the main reason that I can walk today.
I asked for Dr. Klima when I went to the ER at SMH after I fell off a ladder. I knew it was bad since the bones had broken thru the skin. I was hoping that since it was still during the day I could request Dr. Klima rather than get the "on-call" guy. Thank god. His bedside manner could not have been better, and after three surgeries I ended up keeping me leg.
Confession, my brother in law is an anesiologist, and told me Dr. Klima was the best so I knew I was in good hands when I broke my tibia. Thanks again !
Dr. Klima took over my case about 10 days after my accident and 8 days after my first surgery performed in Jackson Hole Wyoming. To me he was a “gift from heaven” … incredibly talented, patient, firm, kind, optimistic, realistic, open, honest, helpful, accessible day and night. He performed 3 of my 7 surgeries.
