I could not help but to write a review about Dr. Baker after I read the negative review that someone else posted. I could not disagree more with that person... Dr. Baker has been nothing but kind to my family and my son and he is very knowledgeable to boot. I have seen him interact with others and he is always the same way to others as he is with us - totally professional and kind. I love Dr. Baker, I am a first time mom so I have many questions and he always answers and explains things well. The staff is very friendly and I never have to wait long.
I too wanted to write a post after seeing the negative post that has been written...we chose Dr. Baker as our pedi after getting MANY recommendations from friends in the area. We visited before our son was born, and we were pleased. We LOVE Dr. Baker. Our son has been constantly sick over the last few months (since January), and weve truly been in the office every other week. Dr. Baker is my personal Internist (he is an internist as well as a pediatrician). In my 20 years as an adult, having had several personal physicians and numerous specialists, I can say that Dr. Baker is exceptional in regards to competency, bedside manner, professionalism and in overall ability to understand patients as individuals. Dr. Baker practices medicine with his head and his heart, and devotes himself, way beyond his workday, to his patients concerns and needs.
Dr. Matt Baker was totally unresonable when it came to my family. He was, at first, an informative, encouraging doctor. But, after a couple of visits to his office, we found that he was biased and set in his ways. We were new to Athens, had a new baby, and we have other children. Dr. Baker absolutely refused to discuss certain concerns we had about our childrens health with us. He was rude, arrogant, and ineffective as a medical practitioner.
