After walking nearly 8 miles along the river, my gf and decided to try Matteo’s for the first time because it was near the park. Since they were about to close, we called-in and ordered one of the special vegan burgers from the Sacramento Vegan Burger Battle in June. Boy-oh-boy, this burger and sweet potato fries were the best I’ve had in a long long time. After trying 15 different vegan burgers over the month, I give Matteo’s special vegan burger 1st place! Thank you for making my night! �

Matteo's never disappoints! Excellent, excellent service, ambiance and FOOD!! GREAT pizzas and salads (that's all I and my friends and family have had so far)!! Dying to try their meat loaf next time!! Summer time, Global Warming Weather-permitting, brings their outdoor patio seating!! SO nice!!

It is a quaint place with a lot of attitude. The food was fresh and delicious. The calamari did not have a chance with the home made cocktail sauce. The service was fantastic and my good was grand. I will return.

I loved it! Been here twice! I am from out of town visiting my niece. Great pizza and salad! Nice patio and family friendly with class. They had no problem with our special requests. Amazing wine list! And the wine store attached to the restaurant has a great selection and pricing! I work in the wine industry so I know!
