Our Restaurant It started with an old brick building, an evolving downtown, and the belief that a friendly gathering place with delicious food and drinks could bring a neighborhood together in a meaningful way. Our Menu We're known for wood-fired pizzas, mini burgers, fresh salads and chef-inspired entrées, like pan-seared sea bass and oven-roasted filet mignon. The pepperoni is amazing
We got a large pizza, half chicken pesto, half crispy pork belly. Both were really great, but the chicken was better.Service was very good, and our waiter was a super nice and friendly guy.
The best pizza I had in D.C so far. It was amazing. Also the interior is really interesting. Go for calamari as starter. Good service. Give it a go.
This is a pretty bougee neighborhood. This both fits in that eclectic feel, while simultaneously having normal palatable food options. Well played Matchbox, well played.

Fried risotto balls are amazing. Spicy meatball is my favorite pizza.
I really enjoy the pizza at Matchbox. Funny, the two people next to me had the half chicken and raved about it. I think I’ll always go pizza. But, the regulars can’t be too wrong...
Expansive bi-level restaurant with bar and patio. Decent pizza, but not the best by a longshot. Come for the service and the atmosphere.
The share plates are amazing, but really are for 2 🙊 Make sure to try the crab and avo with a red umbrella cocktail!
