Splurge Night – Big night out for my husband and I. I closed a large deal and wanted to celebrate. Knew I would spent $200.00 plus for dinner neither of us are drinkers but had been to Mastro's many times in the past and wanted the experience again. Sorry ti say there must be a new chef! Mastro's Ocean Club Rocks! – I loved the steaks and seafood at Mastro's and the live music on the weekend is the best in Newport Beach. My bartender Pat served me an exceptional drink at the main bar that knocked me off my feet. I find it hard to stay away on the weekends because the bar area is so comfortable and the service is always great. I can't believe the reviews below, they must be angry about the higher cost of fine dining.

Many times b4... not again! – I've been here many times, and the last time wasn't my favorite. We went for our anniversary, just for dessert since we went elsewhere to eat dinner (just to try a new place). We didn't have a reservation, but it was late as it was so i figured it's just two people, not staying long anyways. (around 11pm already!) Great Steaks, A Bit Steep – I would recommend Mastros for a special evening out, but it's really gotta be special. The bill can be over $300, so be prepared if you like wine. Crab cakes are excellent, wine list outstanding, butter cake - oh yeah! Its an especially great place to go if you are the client and are asked 'so, where do you want to eat? It's on me'.
The steak just melts – So I'm not a really big steak person. In fact, I rarely eat it. I've been trying to really watch what I eat. I went to Mastro's with my husband for our anniversary. I had hear the one in Beverly Hills was especially famous for celebrities. I decided to splurge so my husband and I split the tomato salad which was scrumptious. Best Steakhouse in OC! – Hands down the best steakhouse in OC. Ruth's Chris, Mortons and Flemings doesn't compare. Great food, great music, great service. Never had a bad experience at any Mastros (Newport Ocean's Club, Beverly Hills, Costa Mesa) and we go 2-4 times/year in a group of 2-4.
